Seniors in South Jakarta Receive Assistance with 17 Hearing Aids

The South Jakarta Social Sub-agency has distributed a total of 17 hearing aids to those in need.

To distribute aid properly and accurately to those in need

Social Rehabilitation Guarantee Protection Section Acting Head, Rianto Gultom said, the distribution of these hearing aids is a follow-up to the requests from residents in each sub-district area.

"Before handing it over, we first measure the ear circumference and other parameters to ensure the device functions optimally," he expressed, Wednesday (10/8).

West Jakarta Social Agency Distributes 320 Physical Aids

To receive the assistance, he explained, those in need have completed the required validation such as SKTM, RT/RW referral, DTKS, and others.

"This is done to distribute aid properly and accurately to those in need," he explained.

He hoped that the assistance distributed would have a positive impact on the communication and socialization methods of the beneficiaries with the surrounding residents and their families.

"We also still provide other physical assistantce. Hence, residents in need can come directly to the South Jakarta Social Sub-agency or directly to the Social Implementation Unit in each sub-district," he added.

The expression of gratitude came from the beneficiary residents of Cipete Selatan Urban Village, Asih (68).

"Very helpful, especially since we seniors really need this device to communicate well," she admitted.
